Hey Everyone,

I am having an issue with my blocks/content type. I have a screen with a soundcloud embedded link but, when I post it as a page it moves the video to the bottom of my page.
Without touching my CSS, I decided to make a views block to have it placed in the preferred "content" block. However, I have run into the issue where I have both the view's block and page content showing up one on top of the other.

I know it is a simple click of the button but, for the life of me I cannot seem to remember how to do it so that just the view's block is showing up and not the content page.

The issue is probably that you are showing the block on the same page that the view page is occurring. You can remove the page from the site, and your life by opening up the view, selecting the page and then click on 'delete page' on the right (see below)...

...then you'll need to create a new 'basic page' give it the URL that your page had and your block should show up there. – GJS

Sorry I think I may have explained myself wrong...I don't see the 'delete page' option - all I have created there was a block view. I have created a basic page with the URL and now the block & basic page content are showing up on top of one another. I would like to ideally remove the content that is coming from the basic page and leave the block but, it doesn't seem to be working for me properly.

Thank you! - Sam

Hi Sam,
I'm not sure if this is what you want, but try adding the contents of your block as a page instead and link it to your main menu (if there is nothing that you need on your basic page)?

Hi Sam, assuming you are trying to get rid of one of the views you need to either:

  1. Leave the page as is, but set the block to not show up on the page. You can go to structure >> blocks and change its content reason to 'none' to disable it.
  2. Make a new page, put the block on it and deactivate the page.
